'Ongeveer een jaar geleden adviseerde mijn saxofoonleraar mij om me te oriënteren op een professioneel mondstuk. Mijn leraar vertelde dat hij enorm enthousiast was over de bronzen mondstukken die Ko Zuidweg uit Heinkenszand maakte. Door Ko wordt je, als je een afspraak met hem hebt, geweldig ontvangen in zijn werkplaats. Er ligt een groot assortiment aan mondstukken gereed die je allemaal op je gemak en met kritische toelichting van Ko mag proberen. Je krijgt ruim de tijd om ook thuis aan een paar stukken te wennen om zo tot je uiteindelijke keus te komen. Inmiddels speel ik een klein jaar op een van Ko's mondstukken. Een geweldige verbetering voor mijn sound op de tenorsax. Niet alleen mijn leraar en ik zijn enthousiast en spelen op mondstukken van Ko. Ook een wereldberoemde saxofonist als Joshua Redman heeft een mondstuk van Ko. Zodra de mondstukken voor de sopraan, waar ik ook graag op speel, klaar zijn ben ik een van de eersten om ze bij Ko te gaan proberen!'

My teacher told me he was very enthousiastic about the bronze mouthpieces made by Ko Zuidweg from Heinkenszand. After you’ve made an appointment with Ko, you get a hearty greeting in his workshop. There’s a great amount of mouthpieces there waiting for you to try them out. You’ll be getting all the time you need and Ko will tell you everything you need to know about the mouthpieces. After this you’ll get plenty of time to get used to a couple of mouthpieces at your own home, in order to be able to make the right choice. I’ve been playing on one of Ko’s mouthpieces for almost a year now. My sound on the tenor sax has improved massively. And of course it’s not just my teacher and me who are playing on Ko’s mouthpieces. Joshua Redman, a world famous saxophonist, uses one of Ko’s mouthpieces as well. I also like playing the soprano saxophone. As soon as the mouthpieces for this instrument are completed, I’ll be one of the first trying them out at Ko’s workshop!’
